R2 Logistics, Inc., a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) service provider, announced their employee award winners for 2014. An award dinner was held at the Talavera Restaurant at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Wednesday, December 3. The winners attended the dinner with Founder and CEO, Ben Gase; CFO, Kees Hiatt; and Vice President of Operations, Matt Elsass.
R2 Logistics honored the following associates based on their outstanding service, ability to capitalize on opportunities within their position, and exemplifying the set company standards of The R2 Way.
The 2014 winners are:
Operations Employee of the Year: Greg Foley
“Greg has continued to progress not only in his career at R2 Logistics, but his ability to make those around him better,” said Elsass. “He always puts the customer and the team first, and his attitude to be the best is infectious. We live and breathe our core principles of The R2 Way, and no better ambassador is demonstrating this than Mr. Foley.”
Customer Service Employee of the Year: Shawn Wanner
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Shawn for nearly six years, starting as an intern, all the way to a Team Lead and 2nd Salesman,” stated Elsass. “Our foundation and core principles all derive from customer service. Shawn has taken on some of our most challenging accounts, become a member of our Customer Service Advisory Board, and demonstrates the R2 Way for those around him at all times. He has earned this recognition for 2014.”
Salesperson of the Year: Jon Adams
“Jon Adams is the best salesman at our company!” said Vice President of Sales, Ben Jordan. “He relentlessly pursues profitable freight opportunities and never lets rejection block his path to success. As a fierce competitor, Jon is leading our Inside Sales team by example, showing them how to find profitable freight that works in our system efficiently.”
Administrative Employee of the Year: Marcia Myers
“Marcia won the ‘Administrative Employee of the Year Award’ because of her unrelenting passion for her job,” commented Hiatt. “Her positivity and ‘can-do’ attitude are infectious. She is constantly looking for ways to become more efficient and add tangible value to her team’s daily operation. Marcia treats every person with respect, and she personifies The R2 Way. I want to congratulate her on a well-deserved award. We look forward to continued success from Marcia, well into the future.”
